In practice:

Ellipse Marketing emphasizes selecting interviewer profiles qualified for the type of research, the work environment and the type of the target audience.

Field data collection is closely connected to the research instrument one employs, respectively questionnaires recorded on paper or within an electronic device. Multiple types of field interviews can be conducted, yet collection is the same for all, respectively:

  • Identifying the target audience’s correct profile
  • The respondent’s qualification to participate in the survey
  • Applying the research questionnaire
  • Validating the questionnaire as part of quality control
  • (Reintroducing the field questionnaire for complete or partial rectification)
  • Centralizing and coding the questionnaire for analysis
